Hmm, the purple doesn’t look all that bad :P. I’ve realised this site isn’t mobile-phone compatible.. in the sense that if you want to scroll, you can’t. I’m not sure how to convert this to non-fixed elements and still retain the layout, but I’ll work on making something that’s got small-window friendly design :P
Otherwise - note new navbar on top. I’m thinking this makes the large nav buttons on the left dispensable, which leaves room for other things. :)
Added new pictures, and I’m directing you to the Photographs page cos something’s changed there too!
Yay site back up! I’m thinking the purple is getting depressing :P I like my blog layout far better than I like this one, but oh well. Maybe a couple of weekends from now and I’ll have that changed as well. For now, you can look at some more pictures of San Fransisco (briefly) and Salt Lake City.
Site’s back up. Apparently the problem was a permissions error. Although how the permission went and changed itself - I have no clue. And crap, now quilt page doesn’t work. grr.
EDIT - yep, as I thought.. permissions again. it works now.
Yaaay I’ve decided to announce this site today, on my blog, where else. And also shift my qbee quilt over to here. New content in ‘About Me’ and ‘For You’ :)
Muahahaha. So it wasn’t so difficult after all.. cut and paste. shh. no to tell. To redeem myself methinks it’s only well that I learn this language. Goal next : code a mini site-update script. Of course, that would involve a database, form collection and the like…
Heylo. Initial sections and rudimentary navigation is up. While you’re here, watch my Goa trip slideshow :)
Ha but this is 7 pm and the previous one was at like, 4 am or something. Anyway, here’s the solution to my navigation problem. Apparently, all I have to do is use a little PHP to include my navigation item on every page.. so I don’t have to bother with changing the content on every page. I knew there had to be a way :P
Well, so I stayed up all night, inadvertantly, and managed to put up a working quilt page, but have yet to make it official. For site navigation I’m thinking big sections as tabs on the left, subsections as navbar a’ la the quilt pages. Contemplating tagbox, but lessee.
Notes to self: topics for tabs: BLOG, ABOUT ME, FOR YOU, SITEMAP
Site update the first : Yay all! I’ve finally, finally got my own website! Not that Geocities, Livejournal, Blogger or Univ webspace don’t count, just that this is a big leap. I know that right now getting Site 5 space might just be overkill, but I’ll live up to it, you’ll see.
